“Incoming!” could be the battle cry for lawyers who serve as their firm’s internal ethics counsel, according to speakers at a July 31 presentation of the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers in Chicago. Many issues stem from risks and conflicts that come into the firm from potential clients, from lateral hires and from lawyers moving to another state while staying with the firm, they explained.
